All aspects of development as an adult, including social and emotional aspects, had a profound impact on me in various ways. As one gets older, they learn that self-control, persistence, and maturity are vital attributes. Consequently, they can apply what they had learned in Human Growth and Development to real-world situations due to this experience. It provided a realistic picture of adulthood in my early twenties, which was extremely helpful. It will be a challenge on this journey, like in real life. Transitions frequently occur in a person’s life and can be frightening. Many people find themselves forced to think outside their comfort zone when going through a major life change or transition. It is especially true when developing solutions to a specific problem (Henry et al., 2020). We are all fearful of change, but we all must rise to the occasion and accept the challenge of trying something new and different. It can be difficult and even crippling to make accommodations for people with disabilities. A successful transition is dependent on your ability to acquire the necessary skills to overcome any obstacles that may arise due to your disability.
In the absence of gainful work, most individuals choose to return to school to build on their experience and educational background. Given the possibility that they may need to save money for graduate school, they chose to live with my parents and take advantage of the excellent part-time program given by the institution. Future professional activities will greatly benefit from the new talents and insights obtained from this experience. Overall, the activity was instructive, but it also helped us as individuals figure out what works best for our virtual lives and how to approach life more positively. It was also fascinating to learn about the numerous methods to cope with problems instead of ignoring them and believing they would disappear independently.
