Challenges in Adulthood: Psychosocial Factors and Interventions

Introduction

Human development continues throughout life, so individuals may have problems at each stage. On the psychosocial side, in early adulthood, specialists must consider the relationship between the individual and society. This means that the individual must establish close relationships with the environment and not feel isolated.

Main Body

In middle adulthood, one of the essential psychosocial factors is attachment to the family and the community. In this case, the individual wants to form and pass on values to the next generations (Berk, 2022). From the point of view of cultural development, in early adulthood, people can agree or argue with the ideology generally accepted in the territory. They are left with the choice of commitment or rejection, whereas middle age focuses on the cultural imperative and rethinking old habits and traditions. Finally, during early adulthood, people face environmental factors, which are determined by the desire to change the area and learn new things. In middle adulthood, this is manifested through the home environments that parents set up to raise their children.

If difficulties arise in the middle stage, the following interventions can be given to address psychosocial and environmental challenges. First of all, this is psychotherapeutic assistance, within which a person will be able to work through their traumas and discontent (Tyler, 2020). Environmental challenges can be solved by attending support groups where people share their concerns and help each other with parenting issues.

Conclusion

The people I will be working with in the future may be affected to varying degrees by these problems. They can cause depression and dissatisfaction, leading to a midlife crisis. Additionally, people may experience increased fatigue and anger, which they splash out on loved ones. Among the critical cultural considerations in middle age, it is essential to highlight belonging to a society and acceptance of traditions because, through this, people feel connected to the community in which they live.
