Introduction

In this case, the counterpart attains proficient discernment and knowledge regarding the effective and strategic form of engagement. An excellent example enshrines solving a conflict among colleagues in an organization. Emotional intelligence steers adept efficiency in identifying the main issue and developing a sustainable solution. A higher emotional intelligence score renders significant competence and intellectual essence in relationship building. In a different spectrum, emotional intelligence is an initiative that enhances self-awareness among individuals while determining the proficiency level on a performance scale within distinctive domains. Ideally, emotional intelligence is an intersectional variable of intellectual intelligence advancing professional conduct and performance.

Emotional intelligence represents creativity, innovation, and proficient growth among workers and the organization. Studies indicate that the foundational gradient of teamwork encompasses the utilization of a competent intellectual quotient to enhance the bond and coordination among team members (Fareed et al., 2021). Therefore, an elevated score on emotional intelligence fosters optimal positive growth and derivation of actionable competitive advantage initiatives. As a manager, I acknowledge that emotional intelligence is a pillar of the decision-making factor and quality of interactions. In the case of an employee, emotional intelligence is a proficient competitive advantage utilized in improving the customer service delivery system. As a result, the element is a necessity to the apt frameworks on skills and knowledge expertise, thus the importance of in-depth evaluation of variables influencing emotional intelligence.

It is crucial for employers to know and understand employees’ emotional intelligence on account of restructuring the organizational culture. Different corporates incorporate distinctive mechanisms advocating for cooperation among workers. Therefore, an employer utilizes the insight to match team members to enhance competency across the institution. In this case, the high score on emotional intelligence reflects the capacity to complete tasks competently. One of the main goals of an organization involves promoting effective communication, customer relationship building, and service experience. Primarily, self-awareness engulfing the discernment of emotional intelligence is a competitive advantage on divergent performance appeals, such as customer service, leadership, and teamwork.
Interdependence between Emotional and Intellectual Intelligence
There is a significant difference between emotional and intellectual intelligence on account of the distinctive variables. On the one hand, intellectual intelligence encompasses the scaling of expertise among individuals in logistics, problem-solving, and effective communication (Fareed et al., 2021). On the other hand, emotional intelligence encapsulates the cognizance of personal emotions and other people’s feelings while utilizing the insights to make actionable decisions. While intellectual is skills and knowledge-oriented, emotional intelligence is emotionally acclimated (Hasnidar et al., 2020). In this case, I believe emotional intelligence is as important as intellectual intelligence. The main reason involves the adept incorporation of knowledge and cognition on emotional appeal to determine the sustainable perspective on pertinent issues. As a result, the contrast renders the significance of emotional and intellectual as interdependent variables. An interplay of the two quotients contributes to the efficiency in discerning problems and establishing solutions while satisfying the entities’ objectives.

My emotional intelligence score indicates proficiency in relationship-building and effective communication. One of my career goals involves improving my leadership skills, hence the importance of higher emotional intelligence to demonstrate significant self-awareness (Cherry, 2021). As a captain, it is paramount to advance communication skills due to the necessity of sharing crucial details with colleagues. Studies demonstrate that the main role of a leader encompasses enhancing team-building and developing platforms for value exchange among counterparts (Fareed et al., 2021). In this case, effective communication is vital to my career growth and development.
