Flying Dreams Interpretation: Symbolism and Real-Life Connections

Introduction

Dreams significantly impact a person’s life, affecting the perception of reality, emotions, and interpretation of events. Being a deeply studied but not fully explained phenomenon, dreams are believed to have a specific meaning. One stands out significantly among the various dreams that have happened to me and those I have remembered. This essay will provide an insight into dreams about flying and their possible meanings. At the same time, interpretations available on the Internet will be considered.

Dream Interpretation

According to Dream Moods, flying in a dream with ease and pleasure symbolizes responsibility and a sense of personal power. Moreover, it also signifies looking at different aspects of one’s life from a different perspective (Common Dream: Flying Dreams, 2017). This interpretation resonates with the feelings that prevail after awakening. When I remember flying in a dream, it often gives fresh insights into my personal or professional life. Although I am unsure about the connection between personal power and sleep, these dreams help distract me from mundane concerns and focus on transformation.

Furthermore, other interpretations do not resonate with me and have no apparent connection to real life. In certain variations, Dream Moods interprets a dream about flying as a symbol of freedom and spiritual connection (Common Dream: Flying Dreams, 2017). The feeling of breaking the physical connection with the world, even for a short sleep, frightens and fascinates simultaneously, giving a feeling of transcendence.

This interpretation is interesting in theory, but does not correspond to specific events or sensations from real life. Finally, it is worth noting that the thought process in a dream is not triggered by stimuli present in life (Gross et al., 2021). Consequently, I am only inclined to give spiritual interpretation a meaning if a real-life connection exists.

Conclusion

In conclusion, dreams significantly impact real life, forcing introspection. The interpretations offered by Dream Moods provide exciting and valuable insights into the relationship between dreams and events, but they only partially correspond to my vision. While interpreting dreams is a subjective process, it can help handle the flow of thoughts. Finally, when analyzing dreams, one should rely not only on the symbols provided by websites but on real-life events and feelings.
