To provide Michael with the necessary assistance, he must be transported to the department of organizations that can treat him. For this to happen, the process of referral must begin. First of all, it is necessary to make diagnoses for Michael, which are the basis for the provision of assistance by third-party organizations. Based on the data obtained in the case, in addition to injuries as a result of accidents, the patient has mental abnormalities. More specifically, it is worth emphasizing the uncontrollable outbreak of aggression that manifests itself toward relatives. At the same time, the patient is in a state of frustration, as evidenced by his behavior in his spare time, namely playing on the tablet. Accordingly, the patient needs high-quality and relatively urgent help from a specialist since the condition may change for the worse.
A separate aspect is to highlight the patient’s drug addict friends who incline him to use. This can be qualified as emotional and psychological pressure, which complicates the treatment of a person and work on his condition. In other words, this factor must be eliminated, but Michael cannot do it on his own. In this case, an extremely effective method is to isolate the individual from the environment that acts destructively on him (Steyeberg, 2019). Once all diagnoses have been made and additional reasons were given, the organization should be alerted to the patient’s partial incapacity. To do this, it is required to document injuries and their consequences and to state problems with cognitive abilities. After everything is outlined and the appropriate document is sent to the organization, it is necessary to wait for a positive response.
It must be emphasized that the main and most destructive problem for Michael is mental disorders. As already indicated, it is they that generate both frustration and unwarranted aggression. Therefore, it is necessary to use the clinical model of treatment of the individual since it is this type that is aimed at psychological assistance. The fact is that the injuries received during the accident by Michael are not currently an obstacle for him to carrying out professional activities. He showed outstanding abilities in the field of programming, which allows concluding that there is no loss of professional skills and qualifications. In addition, physical injuries do not contradict the work style of an IT specialist, which means that the problem of a citizen’s disability lies precisely in the psychological state.
Frustration or apathy, manifested in an unwillingness to look for work, is caused by an unstable emotional state. This is also manifested in outbreaks of uncontrolled aggression, which indicate the complexes that arose during treatment after the accident. Having started working with a psychologist, it will be possible to establish the reasons for this state and start working on them. Once changes begin to occur, the physical component of the patient’s disease will also be accelerated in treatment. This is because the psychological state directly affects the general situation of the body and human immunity, which are responsible for recovery (Steyeberg, 2019). Based on this thesis, treatment under a rehabilitation program will be ineffective and will not solve potentially dangerous aggressive manifestations that can turn into violence. Frustration, in turn, can lead to a loss of values and a distortion of worldview, which will lead to the use of drugs by individuals as a result of the influence of their friends.
