Here-and-now experience determines most of the groups due to its importance for the organizational “health” situation. As a result, this approach is the most effective and crucial for the group’s therapy. To be more specific, the experiencing tier, which is the first, determines the live behavior of the group members: they are interconnecting “here and now,” which makes the group more united, and all group participants are involved in the group’s communication process. However, when the usefulness limit is achieved by using the experiencing tier, the illumination of the process might enrich the group’s advancement experience.
In my opinion, the most important aspect of the therapist’s work within a group is establishing the qualitative communication process and providing the commentating process after the personal self-reflection. Regarding the definition of process, Yalom and Leszcz state that “It refers to the nature of the relationships between interacting individuals-members and therapists” (169). As a result, this term strongly differs from the term “content,” which gives the ability to contrast these two terms to determine the sense of the group’s therapy. Finally, to reach the closest-to correct point, it is critical to understand the group’s position in the overall communication process.
