The latest video games and systems frequently top gift ideas and dominated the conversation at school and at the family dinner. Nevertheless, parents may be concerned if their child’s conduct is influenced by video games, particularly those that show violence or conflict. It is difficult to draw a clear line between aggressive behavior and computer games. However, a recent study reveals that specific young individuals who play violent video games exhibit greater physical violence over time (Greitemeyer, 2018). Video games, when used correctly, can be an enjoyable and healthful activity for both kids and parents. Parents know their children best and must collaborate to develop video game regulations. This work was written to understand how to properly compose research on the impact of video games on people.
The inclination of teenagers to model themselves after persons or figures with whom they empathize is one aspect that may impact attitude. It has been demonstrated that when children and teenagers encounter people they identify with within media – such as TV, films, or online – they are more likely to embrace those influencers’ ideas and actions. Some fear that the same thing may occur with video games. A solid connection with parents is the best defense against any negative habits or mental health difficulties. When children and parents establish a close relationship, children feel more comfortable conversing with their parents, and parents are more likely to identify and sympathize with children. When it concerns connections with children, parental participation is critical across the board. It is simpler to communicate with children about what they observe and demonstrate appropriate conduct when adults are involved and participating.
As a study, I would use a set of different procedures that will help to understand the cause of aggression, if any reliably. Empirical research aims to obtain facts, further generalized by theory or used for applied purposes. As a methodology to use, I would also consider several of the options given. The level of methods of general scientific principles of research is represented by universal codes, means, and forms of scientific knowledge that are not correlated with any particular science but applicable to a wide range of sciences. At this level, general problems of constructing scientific research, ways of carrying out theoretical and empirical activities, in particular, available issues of making an experiment, observation, and modeling, are also developed. The principle of determinism is the causality of all phenomena. Each change of this or that object or phenomenon is a consequence of a specific process and the result of the influence of certain factors. According to this principle, everything that exists arises, changes, and ceases to live naturally.
The primary ethical considerations here would be that the nationality and origin of a person do not affect the final result in any way. The person’s gender also does not indicate an extraordinary inclination. Also, the age category, although it occurs here in the form of adolescents, does not mean that adults can also be found in such studies. As a result, I can say that this study will have a positive effect on me in preparing for the analysis of the material and conducting research in general. I am now aware of the possible obstacles during the work, which will only decrease in the future.
The primary method will be observation, namely of a person who does not play games and who plays. The applied research method will also be appropriate here; the aim will be to obtain practical results based on the experiment. In my opinion, the principle of determinism will most fully help in the study since it will be possible to fix the slightest problems or changes that will lead to a particular result in the end. Overall, the study will be primarily based on observation and applied research to get the most realistic results.
